Like The Rain Song, Blind-sided started as a working draft in the 1990 timeframe and was revised in 2019. This is the more stripped down version of what would become The End piece. These intro lines capture the raw feelings that come with a break-up… Surprised by your call, and the tone in your voice, your ice cold delivery, that left me little choice.
